Engagement planning notes beside a laptop during audit intake

Engagement process

A clear path from your first estimate request to the dated auditor’s report — so closing calendars stay predictable.

  1. Intake & estimate

You share year-end date, entity type, locations, and who will rely on the opinion. We reply within two business days with scoping questions and a fee range.

  2. Engagement letter

Scope, responsibilities, independence confirmations, and timing are set in writing before fieldwork begins.

  3. Planning & PBC list

We set materiality, identify significant risks, and send a prepared-by-client list naming the schedules and reconciliations we need.

  4. Fieldwork

Sampling, confirmations, inventory observation, and interviews. Findings are raised as they appear — not saved for a surprise at the end.

  5. Reporting

Draft findings memo, management representation letter, and final auditor’s report. We coordinate sign-off with your filing or lender timetable.

What we need from your side

A single finance contact, access to the general ledger and inventory system reports, and timely responses on related-party and estimate questions. Delays in confirmations are the most common reason opinions slip — we start those early.
